Event Hosts
GrantGrant is the founder of Queers for Dinner. Inspired by the experience of hosting travellers and meeting amazing people, Grant set out on a mission to help connect like-minded people in Toronto and build new friendships. By day Grant works as a policy consultant and has over 14 years of experience in the community services sector. By night Grant indulges his love of cooking, cares for his fledgling succulent garden (no casualties so far!), and enjoys cuddles with his little dog Peanut. |
CameronCameron is a recent transplant to Toronto from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He works as an accountant in the agricultural industry which often takes him out to rural Ontario and has inspired his passion for food. Cameron is very enthusiastic about meeting new people and helping to build a strong inclusive community in Toronto. Cameron is also an avid Dodgeballer, video game enthusiast, and board game junkie – Be sure to strike up a conversation if these pique your interest! |
Activity Coordinators
AnaAna is a Brazilian about to graduate in a Marketing Management program at Centennial College, who has been working as a marketing planner for over a decade. Fascinated by people and life expression, she enjoys meeting new people and learning about different cultures and lifestyle. Her desire for a world free of cruelty for all living beings drove her to become a vegetarian and defend humanitarian and animal causes. In the process, she also learned how to slow consumerism and make her own clothes. |
ColtAfter completing his Master of Public Health at the University of British Columbia, Colt is very excited to be coming back to the big smoke and working with Queers for Dinner! Colt comes in with a breadth of knowledge about community organization, planning and mobilization. He has worked with a variety of organizations dedicated to serving the LGBTQ+ community, including LGBT Youth Line, QMUNITY, CANFAR and the AIDS Committee of Toronto. When not engaging in amazing queer and HIV-related activities, Colt enjoys cooking, reading and watching anything new in the genre of sci-fi, and playing with puppies! |
SarahSarah is a former baker turned event planner, who loves meeting new people and bringing together folks in fun, inclusive, and creative ways. She likes cheese more than one human probably should, and cares for her giant collection of pristine cookbooks as if they were her children (in a non-creepy way). When she’s not planning events or eating delicious food, she can often be found rocking the stage at a karaoke night, or curled up with her partner and cat in their teeny tiny apartment.
